Welcome to the site.
I don’t want to go into too much personal detail, but do want to tell my story. I think it might sound familiar to a lot of people.
First of all, I’m not a writer or web developer or big on social media so I doubt this will be without its errors. It may even go off on a tangent occasionally. All my images are AI generated within WordPress so I have no creative skills either!
I’m a 40 something man from UK. I have a full-time job which pays fine and has a good work life balance. My bills are manageable but I’m looking to supplement this with a bit of pocket money at the end of each month. I also have 2 children (teenagers) and I think this is part of the reason for me wanting to succeed. I’d like to be able to treat them to extra things or holidays every now and again. I presume this is the same all of the world, but holidays outside of school term dates are expensive!
I started off a few years ago doing matched betting which gave me a nice little pot of money, but then the bookies gubbed my accounts so that stopped. That seemed to naturally lead me onto Betfair Exchange trading.
I’ve watched a LOT of videos, taken some courses. Some a waste of money, some had some good tips or different ways of thinking. I use trading software (Bet Angel) which is brilliant value for money in my opinion. I’m not (currently😉) sponsored by them in any way. This is only my personal opinion. BetAngel, if you’re reading – perhaps we could sort something out 😁.
I guess this is the part where I say I’m not tipping or asking you to take my advice. You should always do your own research and take responsibility for your own actions. In fact it would be pretty pointless as my posts are nearly all going to be after something has happened anyway.
Why create a website I hear you all asking? Well I’ve not been successful in creating a profit. I think I’m OK at trading and being able to make a profit. I know that my drawback is that I’m not good at taking losses and I try to recover them in-play. I’m talking mainly horse racing in the UK. This is why after 20 trades a day showing profit (not all profitable trades though), I make a mistake, which I know I’m doing but still don’t stop it, and all profits (and usually a bit more than that) is wiped out.
I wondered if I created a website for the world to see me (anonymously I hope), then perhaps it would give me a bit of accountability and help my focus. Also, as I said above. I’m sure I can’t be the only one like this, so perhaps it helps others and maybe we can share some tips if the site manages to get any views!
Why Deuter Trader? It made sense to me when looking for a name. I won’t say what it means for now, I’d be interested to see how many people find this website and work it out. When I can figure out how to do it, I’ll add some sort of comments section to see if people can guess it.
So that’s me in a nutshell and why you’re reading this post. This will most likely go down as one of the most pointless websites created, but it’s only my time (and small domain subscription) so I’ve nothing to lose.
